Up to 10 Teams will have 12 to 15 players per roster. Reserve players will register and be "called up" in case of an injury. Will offer full time and daily participation. Collegiate Travel Teams will also be eligible to participate in the league.
24 Game regular season plus single elimination season ending playoff tournament. 7 inning games . Extra innings will start inning with the bases loaded. There must be a winner.
All players in the league will be tested and will be able to train utilizing Apex Athletic Performance facilities. Players will be tested upon arrival and again before they leave. Each player will receive individual instruction and programming which athlete can embrace to develop during the summer.
LivePlaySportsTV will provide coverage to the Player Selection. Every athlete will be tested and will have two days of workouts in order to prepare for the season. Coaches will select/settle team rosters on June 14 live at Apex-Lexington. Roster sizes will be from 10 to 12 players each game played.
Players will have options with housing while staying with league players in condo's and houses secured by the league. Multiple players will live together to learn the importance of being a good teammate while learning how to reach optimal team dynamics in a short period of time. Daily players can pay daily rate and stay in team housing. Lot's of options available as we can mange most all needs.
Each team will have a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach who have experience suitable to directing a team with college softball players. Current college coaches can coach but per NCAA rules can not coach a committed player or existing player in their program. A festive All-Star Game with skill competition and Home Run Derby will provide recognition and excitement for league players. Players will vote on who makes the team and who enters the Home Run Derby. Every league participant will be able to enter one of the competitions.
Pitchers will pitch a maximum of 4 innings in a game and must have one day off after pitching 4 innings only being allowed 2 innings on the next day. i.e. if a pitchers throws 4 innings on Monday they could only pitch 2 innings on Tuesday. This league will not over use pitchers and will require a "staff" to compete.
CCSL will have the best umpire situation possible. Umpires will be paid a bonus based upon performance. The players will vote on umpire performance after each game with an ongoing ranking of the top 5 umpires being published. The top umpire as voted by the player will receive a $500 bonus and the second and third place finisher will receive a $250 bonus.
CCSL will be partnering with South Carolina USSSA Fastpitch providing weekly camps and instructional opportunities. Crystl Bustos and other professional instructors as well as players from the CCSL will provide services on Wednesdays' during the season.
Prisma Health will provide athletic trainer services for the CCSL. Trainers will be on site during games and will be available daily at the Prisma/Apex locations for players to get daily treatment.
Prisma Health will provide return to play services for any athlete rehabbing from previous injury that will be looking to get back in game shape.

Live Play Sports TV will be producing coverage all summer of the Player Draft, League Games, All-Star Game and Playoffs. We are excited to capture video to produce a Documentary centered around College Softball Players. This coverage will give great insight to the day of a college softball player and the dynamics of players coming together from all over the country trying to compete while making new friends. Coverage of players training, playing and having fun will provide a look into the demands of playing a 24 game regular season plus playoffs. We will cover most all of the regular season games, the live player draft on June 11, the All-Star game , the playoffs and the championship game.
The Carolina Collegiate Softball League will provide advertising and sponsorship opportunities which will provide great value to the exposure of the game in addition to lowering the costs for players to participate in the league.
CCSL has teamed with Prisma Health Care for league needs involving trainers, physical therapists, return to play, orthopedic services and sports performance professionals.
NCAA Rules Expert, Rick Allen co-founded Informed Athlete in 2008 to help guide student-athletes and their families when things don’t go “according to plan.” Rick will be working with the CCSL to assist the leagues needs and all the players who become involved in the league.
League will play NCAA rules. In addition to the rules provided by the NCAA, the following league rules will be added.
*No player can switch teams under any circumstances
*A player can not play for their college coach
*No more than 4 players from the same college team can play on a CCSL team
*Pitcher can only pitch 4 innings in an outing and no more than a total of 6 innings in back to back days.
Each player will receive a digital athletic profile where their activity will be tracked while in the league and made available throughout their career capturing an abundance of information. Each player will be tested and then re-tested at the end of the season to measure their progression. Players will complete a daily athletic performance survey and will be provided professional neuromuscular training programs to enhance their mobility, sequencing and training. Players will have access to training facilities to workout and train during the season.
The league will carry reserve players who can be called upon and approved by a team if a player is unable to play for any reason. There will be no refunds for any reason if a player gets hurt or injured. Reserve players will be called upon to replace an injured player or a player that leaves their team for any reason. Reserve players can come and participate in all league activities and train with league players until such time they are called upon. Attendance as a reserve player is based on the willingness of the player to wait for an open spot that may not come. An order will be established based timeliness of reserve player's commitment.

The CCSL will be trying to secure some Host Families to provide support and resources to the players . There are no guarantees to any player that a host family will be available . The CCSL has secured a great fundraising partner Chip-In who can help the athletes off set or completely pay for expense of the league. This innovative fundraising platform will create excitement and will provide opportunity for the player to gain support from their family, friends and community.
