Stars and Stripes Sports Providing Fastpitch Tournaments in Upstate SC
Stars and Stripes Sports has been producing events for many years and has established a brand name that triggers the term "Development". Many events in the past have provided great developmental opportunities for committed players who are looking to reach their potential. Stars and Stripes Sports National Teams have traveled the country participating in unique events playing against top competition and Stars and Stripes Sports via Test and Train Sports has tested thousands of Fastpitch players providing services to club teams, high school and college programs. We have provided services for organizations and schools to include Florida State, University of Maine, St Cloud State University, Furman University and others. Stars and Stripes Sports is the foundation for the Carolina Collegiate Softball League, a summer college league providing opportunity for rising college freshman and current college players to be able to develop their game and return to their college a better player and teammate. Stars and Stripes Sports is excited to grow the game in the Upstate of South Carolina.
Kelly Ahrens- Upstate Area Director
Kelly Ahrens is the founder of Stars and Stripes Sports and is from Columbia, South Carolina. Kelly went to Cardinal Newman High School and Newberry College. Kelly was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 20th round of the 1989 draft and played in the pioneer league, midwest league and northwest league. Kelly has been working with athletes and human movement efficiency through the use of data driven approach. Stars and Stripes Sports formed Test and Train Sports as the entity that provides testing and training services to many organizations in the states and abroad. Stars and Stripes Sports has developed a turnkey platform that provides athletes with the ability to receive the best direction possible as to their athletic development journey. Many unique developmental opportunities will be provided to fastpitch programs in the Upstate of South Carolina to feed the passion of committed players and programs wanting to take their game to the next level.
Kelly is the founder of the Carolina Collegiate Softball League, providing opportunity for rising freshman and current college players to participate in a developmental league offering the richest developmental environment possible allowing participants to improve their game , build confidence and return to their college program a better player and teammate.
I am excited to help build SC USSSA Fastpitch in the upstate. There is a ton of opportunity to provide resources that will help build the game while being able to support individuals, teams and organizations who desire to develop their players and help them with becoming the best they can be on and off the field.

Proper player development can only take place by testing and knowing where you . Once tested you can target specific areas of need. Targeted training allows for players to achieve the highest level of results specifically to their individual needs. In order to maximize results you have to create a level of accountability that holds all stakeholders accountable. When you do not know...more is better. When you do know less is more and trying better is always going to get better results than trying harder. Stars and Stripes Sports wants to support the teams that play in their tournaments assisting in the player development aspects so that players can enjoy good competition while getting better.
