" No. This is a destination and experience event where players of all skill levels can participate. The focus is on what you will walk away with, not what you came with. You don't need an invitation. Once the players are registered, we will go through a process of testing/tryout for help with placement only. Friends will be able to play together and we will make the teams as balanced as possible. "
Absolutely, Families are welcome on campus all day and can visit in the dorms, join them for activities, cheer them on in the games and take them off campus anytime they wish to explore Branson. The Head Coach is responsible for managing the whereabouts of players at all times. Team suites are for the coaches and players only. Parents must stay in a partner hotel/property. There is no gate fee.
While you can certainly come to any of the weeks as a team, the Stars and Stripes Sports destination and experience teams are for individuals. However, this does not mean you can't come with a group of your friends! For those that want to play together, we will do the best we can to accommodate those requests taking into consideration each players classification. Siblings may be able to play together even if there is age differential. We will consider all requests.
Yes! Kids are welcome from all over the United States and abroad to play on our Stars and Stripes Sports Destination and Experience teams. We are just based out of South Carolina. Example, North Carolina and Georgia residents can play for our teams but so can other friends of the program no matter where they live. There will be other "State Directors" forming teams to come and participate however, we are very skilled and experienced at managing this type of experience.
Absolutely! Full teams are welcome, and you will need to have 12 players and 2 coaches to participate as a team. If you are short a few players, we can add to your roster. Message Melissa@starsandstripessports.com for more information on this.
Each Stars and Stripes Sports destination and experience team will have a paid professional head coach who has played or coached at the high school or collegiate level. These coaches have experience coaching at a high level and are dedicated to their team for the week. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet with and train with your coach during the day when you are not playing. They will be very active in the weekly event and will do their best to impact all the kids on the team.
Each Stars and Stripes Sports destination and experience team will have parent volunteer selected by the Head Coach who will help with the team. Assistant coaches volunteering will need to stay in the dorms that week to supervise the players. Lodging and meals will be included in cost for the assistant coaches. However, parents can take turns and rotate taking turns with the nightly stay and whoever is staying does not necessarily have to be a coach.
Once the players participating in the InstaRaise fundraising platform cover the player registration expense, all additional proceeds will be provided to the player so they can enjoy their Branson experience. If total fee is $1295 and a player were to raise $3000 through a few InstaRaise events, the first $1295 will be paid to Ballparks of America for the players fee and the balance will be given back to the player at the event. In this case, the player would have $1705 to spend on Ballparks of America Campus in the Pro Shop, at the Sweet Spot, Arcade, Escape Rooms or Laser Tag. Off campus players can spend these funds wherever they wish such as Silver Dollar City, The Track, Dolly Pardon Stampede, ... We are finding committed players are raising funds that cover their registration fees and they are getting lots of support for all the other Branson Activities!
USSSA rules are tournament rules applied. Stars and Stripes Sports Destination and Experience rules require teams to bat the entire line up and play free substitution on defense. No one player can sit out more than one inning a time. This is a total team experience, and all players will contribute to the impact of the teams in games.
Springfield, Missouri is located about an hour away from Branson.
Families can rent linens from Ballparks of America for bed sheets, pillowcases, etc. so you do not have to travel with those items.
Stars and Stripes Sports is now offering individuals the opportunity to come and play at Ballparks of America. Ballparks of America is the #1 destination for baseball families! Tip Top Sports 7 Fitness lead by Ben and Melissa Witcher, will be hosting ACE Testing ID Event so each player can be placed on a team. Players are guaranteed the ability to participate on a team that will be playing at Ballparks of America. This program is steered to committed families who are looking for a competitive event where growth and development is valued.
We do win some of the time but our goal is to develop the players and provide an experience that will catapult the players to the next level. They learn to : "live a little", "play fearless", and to become a good teammate. Competitive adaptability is lacking in most youth's development path and these players learn to play with players they have never met, hit in a line up that is unfamiliar, play positions they may not play primarily and play for a coach who they do not know! Nothing can be more valuable to these players learning how to adjust and to have a different pair of eyes on them that push and motivate them to grow as a player and as a person.
Come to Ballparks of America and register to play for a Stars and Stripes team. Stars and Stripes assists with every aspect needed in order to plan and attend the event at Ballparks of America. We assist in the fundraising needs, planning and introduction to teammates so all expectations can be met. We will need 2 coaches to stay in the dorm room with the players while onsite at Ballparks of America. We will allow mom's to select the "EASY" button so that every aspect of the participation is well managed and enjoyable. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the entire family as Branson, Missouri is one of the top destinations in the country offering incredible options for all family members.
All details will be covered in advanced and all players and family members will be prepared for the experience of a lifetime. Such as a cruise a family would go on, we will be able to entertain all family members while participating in this experience. This is more than baseball but baseball is the tool that allows for a total experience that meets all family members needs. Learn more about Ballparks of America so you can prioritize your commitment to this process.
