Stars and Stripes is excited to work with Pitch In For Baseball (www.pifb.org) to help make sure kids in under-resourced communities have the equipment they need to play. Since 2005, Pitch In For Baseball has been collecting and redistributing new and gently used baseball and softball equipment so that more kids can play. In 2017, they helped 136,000 kids gain access to the game both here in the US and all around the globe. If you have safe, playable equipment that you are no longer using, please consider donating it to Pitch In For Baseball or their sister brand Pitch In For Softball (www.pifs.org). It will be put to great use.
For details in terms of the kind of gear to donate and how to get it to Pitch In For Baseball, please see the attached information sheet.
Pitch In For Baseball will be partnering with Stars and Stripes to help kids in Puerto Rico who lost their ability to play following Hurricane Maria. Stars and Stripes is planning to bring some of this equipment with us to Puerto Rico when we travel there in a few months.
